Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall supports Bags of Taste
We were delighted to organise a call with Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, two of our amazing Bags of Taste participants, and one of our volunteer mentors, Deborah. We heard firsthand from Ellie and Kerry about the impact that the Bags of Taste programme has had on their families’ diets and lives. Ellie and Kerry discuss some of the ways the programme helped them save money, get more vegetables into their family’s diets and build confidence in the kitchen. Deborah, one of our mentors, talks about the transformational effect she has seen the programme have on the lives of people with mental health struggles.
Check out the post on Instagram to see a series of excerpts from the chat. These conversations demonstrate that our programme really works. This work is needed now more than ever, as 25% of people in the UK are currently living in food insecurity. Please donate today, if you can, so that we can reach more families.
