You are eligible to take part if you are a Newham resident and struggling to reach a healthy weight, and if any of the below apply to you:
- You’re receiving income related benefits
- Have a disability
- Have a long term illness
- Have a mental health condition including depression and anxiety
- Are a carer.
How it works
All you need is a phone and a kitchen – we’ll get you started by delivering you a FREE bag of ingredients, instructions and some equipment to your door, to cook 3 delicious international recipes, enough food for 7 generous meals.
You can cook when it suits you and your family, and we’ll be here to help with personal support by phone or WhatsApp, with great advice and videos. You’ll learn about the cheapest local shops and budgeting tips too.
It only takes about 2 weeks to complete the course, so it’s a great starting point for people wanting to make a change to what they eat and save money. Whether you’re a beginner or a good cook, we can help you with fab recipes, great food and pro tips, and you’ll have fun too!
At the end, you’ll be invited to join a friendly and supportive online community so you can eat healthily and save money for good.
